In you, I found a home to go back to that I had never left. I found familiarity, that I didn't know I lacked.

Strange how I found my home in a strange city.

Maybe the home I thought I left behind was just a pit-stop.

Maybe I have reached a destination, I didn't know I was journeying towards.

Is that why destiny and destination sound so much alike?

Leaving home, taught me that home is something I carry inside me. It is my favorite music and the vegetables I don't have a taste for. It is the little bits of Hindi that escape my mouth, without intention, when I speak.

Home is who I fall for and what I fear.

I am my home and I am my own guiding light.
