Phantom Limbs

You are overflowing

Always bursting at the seems,

Flooding surrounding lives

You are everything all at once

So when I told you that I was hollow

That my emptiness was what filled me

You had trouble unraveling how

Something could be made up of nothing

But I've had my insides exhumed,

I too was once whole and brimming,

Before I was delved into a chasm

Now I am an entire body of

Phantom limbs put together.
